The submission of your website to the search engines should be one of the very first steps you take when considering opening up your site to the world.  If you are still in the early stages of creating your site, whatever it may be, chances are that you won’t show up in the search engines without letting them know that you are there.  Google, Yahoo, MSN and the other search engines out there don’t just stumble upon websites unless there is a link from another website to yours – and that site has to be recognized by them in order for them to see your site.

So how do you get started with the submission of your site?  It’s actually a pretty easy task that you should be able to take care of in a short period of time.  There are literally thousands of sites that you can submit your website to but for now I’m going to focus on the major players.  I would suggest not using an automated service for submission at this point.  After all, you can take about 10 minutes to submit to the big guys and it doesn’t cost you anything but your time.

Google, Yahoo, Bing, DMOZ -

Googlehttp://www.google.com/addurl/ – type in your website along with any comments you may have about your site and click “add url” – simple as that!

Yahoohttp://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit – click on “Submit a Website or Webpage” and enter your url – piece of cake!

Bing (formerly MSN Live Search) – http://www.bing.com/docs/submit.aspx – Type in the letters seen in the “captcha” then type in your website, click “Submit URL” – done!

DMOZ open directory project – http://www.dmoz.org/add.html – for DMOZ you need to make sure your site is put in the correct directory and that your site conforms to the guidelines stated.  This may take you a couple of minutes but you definately don’t want to skip over this one.  When you are excepted into the directory (which can take weeks or months) the other search engines will give your site a little more recognition.  You will also, over time, start to be noticed in the smaller search engines that you may not even heard of.

Now that you are done with the submission of your website to the search engines, you can focus more on the content of your site and trying to get higher rankings when people search for what you are offering.

An easy way to get free traffic to your website would be to use Free Traffic Exchanges.  If you are new to the concept of free traffic exchanges, the basic idea is that you surf through other peoples websites and in turn you receive credit which can be used to send people to your site.

I know what you’re thinking, nothing in life is free… In a way, “free” is just saying that it doesn’t cost you any money but what it does cost you is time.  I have done some research on this and figured out a way to maximize your credits in a very short period of time.  This way you aren’t spending a ton of time surfing and you are getting the most out of your efforts.

To start, you will want to be using Firefox for your internet browser (free download).  You are going to want to sign up with a number of traffic exchanges and surf them at the same time.  You can get some firefox tools that are available for free.  The NoScript, AutoFill Forms and TabMixPlus Addons that are available through the firefox browser.  I have set up a tutorial video at Cre8tiveMedia.org for you with links to all of the things you will need and instructions on how to use everything, check it out here.

Happy Surfing,

Most people are lazy and would like someone else to do all the work for them and we try to find ways to help our downline see that it doesn’t take that much work to get a business going. The key is having access to a lot of free resources, free tools and free advertising.

Keep in mind that You do not have to be in my downline to use any of these programs. If you are already a part of an affiliate program, here are a couple of programs and tips to get you started on your various endeavors:

* The Spiderweb Marketing System hot! – (FREE Program)

This amazing system utilizes 12+ streams of income. The beauty of the system is that you could literally set it up and let it do the work for you on autopilot. There are 22+ video tutorials on marketing your site. It takes a little while to set-up, but once you’re done you will have multiple streams of income.

* Join My Downline Club – (FREE Program)

Get a FREE Website and splash pages with all YOUR referral IDs inserted, Get Access a FREE Ebooks Library. You will have downline growth for potentially unlimited number of tiers – with all YOUR referral IDs.
Free Flow-Through of your referral IDs for unlimited tiers of your My Downline Club downline and Real-time statistics both of your direct and indirect downline size plus hits to your programs.
Once you get a few people in your downline that are willing to put a little effort into growing there own business, then you start to realize that you don’t need to put as much effort in to get new affiliates. It starts to become viral and this is when your effort will really start to pay off.

* Advertise on Free Traffic Exchanges

The basic idea for most traffic exchanges is that when you browse through these websites – you earn credits for people to visit your site. This way you can get free, targeted traffic directly to your website.

You also have the option to pay to get traffic without having to do any surfing but if you are on a budget and can’t afford to spend any money on advertising then all you need is your time to surf.

I’ve tried many different exchanges and the only one I really use anymore is TrafficSyndicate 25

These are pretty good also:
Traffic G
I Love Hits

* Contact Your Upline

Most affiliate programs will show you who you signed up under. If you have a way to contact them (email is preferred) then you should take advantage of it. If these people were able to get you to sign up through them, they probably have a good idea of what works. Send them an email and ask if they have any tips or tricks for building there downline. Try to think of this as a team project, your upline wants you to succeed, this way everyone makes money.

* Contact Your Downline

Let them know that you are here to help. Keep in mind that a lot of people would like to remain anonymous and don’t like being contacted. So, I would suggest that you send an initial email letting them know who you are and what program you are affiliated with (I wouldn’t try to call them). If they don’t respond to your email – wait a little while before trying to email them again.

* Advertise FOR Your Downline

I haven’t found a better way to strengthen my downline than this. Instead of advertising your affiliate ID you can advertise for someone in your downline. Simply fill in there username where you would put yours.

It kind of sounds like you’re giving money away right? Well, if your affiliate program pays you when you’re affiliates sign up a new member, like Direct Matches or GDI then you are making money anyway. Plus, you are giving the people in your downline a reason to stay with you.
